Me : decided to cook lunch today. Saw some eggs and so i used them. Eat till shiokshiok.

Mum comes home.

Mum : Ming! You used the eggs ah?
Me : Yea.
Mum : The eggs spoil one! Keep there very long liao.
Me : @@

One hour later, i ran to the toilet and had diarrhea. Also, i had stomach pains. These are symtoms of infection by Salmonella enterica, which causes diarrhea, stomach pains, cramps, fever. LOL i just felt like diagnosing myself. Too much studying of microbio. Gosh feels like i'm a doctor! =D If i was a doctor, i would prescribe myself antibiotics that destroys cell walls such as amphicillin and i will tell myself to drink lots of water! =D

But... due to $$ factors, i'm not going to get drugs! Say NO to drugs!!! >=(

So i shall trust in my immune system to clear off the infection! I am sure that by now, my trusty B-cells would have been activated and will be secreting lots and lots of IgA, which will bind to and neutralize the bad Salmonella in my intestines. Also, i will no doubt have an army of CTLs, NK cells, various lymphocytes already in mortal combat with the Salmonella army.

This prompt response to the invasion must surely be attributed to the macrophages, which no doubt upon seeing the suspicious looking Salmonella, decided to EAT them!!! =O They then presented the antigens on class1 & 2 MHC. This stimulated the T-cells to activate!

T-cells : What is this scummy antigen?!! To WARRRRRRRR!!!!! And they rushed to my intestines and started shooting perforin and granzymes and IFN-gamma!

And i'm sure that by tomorrow the infection will be cleared. If not, i will most probably run to the toilet halfway through immuno exam. =/
